Comprehensive lab testing

Go beyond basic blood work when your health story calls for it.

BayouSide offers provider-selected routine, comprehensive, and specialized laboratory testing. The goal is not to order every available marker. It is to choose the right tests for your symptoms, history, exposures, medications, and health goals, then interpret the results in clinical context.

Care may include

  • Comprehensive wellness and preventive panels
  • Hormone, thyroid, metabolic, and nutrient testing
  • Heavy metal and environmental toxin panels
  • Mold, fungus allergy, and related inflammation testing

What to expect

A clear, clinically guided path

1

Start with the question

Review symptoms, health goals, known exposures, family history, medications, supplements, and prior results so testing has a clear clinical purpose.

2

Select the panel

The provider chooses focused or comprehensive testing and explains specimen type, fasting, timing, insurance or self-pay handling, and possible additional costs.

3

Interpret and act

Results are reviewed alongside your clinical history. BayouSide explains meaningful findings, limitations, and appropriate follow-up rather than treating an isolated value as a diagnosis.

Personalized care

Laboratory options built around the clinical need

Available categories are based on the types of comprehensive panels offered by major laboratory networks. The exact tests and biomarkers are selected by your provider.

Laboratory testing does not replace a medical evaluation. Some specialized tests have important limitations and may not be recommended for every patient. BayouSide will confirm available laboratories, specimen requirements, insurance handling, and self-pay costs before testing.

Comprehensive wellness

Broad review may include blood counts, kidney and liver function, electrolytes, glucose regulation, cholesterol, iron, thyroid markers, vitamins, and inflammation markers.

Women's hormone health

Provider-selected reproductive, ovarian, adrenal, thyroid, metabolic, and general wellness markers for symptoms, life-stage changes, or treatment monitoring.

Men's hormone and vitality

Testosterone and related hormone markers may be paired with blood counts, metabolic, thyroid, prostate, cardiovascular, and nutrient testing when appropriate.

Thyroid and metabolism

Focused or expanded thyroid testing may evaluate hormone production, conversion, metabolic health, and autoimmune thyroid markers when clinically indicated.

Weight and cardiometabolic health

Testing may review glucose and insulin regulation, lipids, liver and kidney function, thyroid health, inflammation, nutrient status, and factors related to metabolic resistance.

Vitamins, minerals, and anemia

Testing may assess iron status, B vitamins, vitamin D, magnesium, and other nutrients based on symptoms, diet, medications, medical history, and treatment goals.

Heavy metals and environmental toxins

Blood or urine panels may assess exposure to substances such as lead, mercury, arsenic, and cadmium, with organ function and related health markers added when appropriate.

Mold and fungus-related testing

Provider-selected testing may include mold or fungus allergy markers and related inflammation testing. Results require clinical interpretation and do not independently establish the source of symptoms.

Inflammation and immune health

Selected markers may help evaluate inflammation, autoimmune concerns, allergy patterns, or symptoms that require a broader medical workup.

Digestive and nutrient concerns

Testing may support evaluation of nutrient balance, digestive symptoms, food-related concerns, inflammation, and overlapping thyroid or autoimmune issues when appropriate.
