Women's hormone health

Hormone care for every stage of a woman's life.

Hormone health matters from the onset of menstruation through the reproductive years, perimenopause, menopause, and beyond. Changes in cycles, sleep, energy, mood, temperature, libido, weight, or vaginal comfort deserve a thoughtful evaluation, especially when midlife changes start disrupting everyday life.

Care may include

  • Focused care for women in perimenopause and menopause
  • Menstrual, reproductive-stage, and symptom review
  • Appropriate laboratory testing and screening
  • Hormonal and non-hormonal options, including EvexiPEL pellets when appropriate

What to expect

A clear, clinically guided path

1

Tell the full story

Bring a simple record of cycle changes, sleep, energy, mood, temperature symptoms, headaches, libido, medications, and what has changed over time.

2

Evaluate safely

The provider reviews medical and family history, current medications, preventive screening needs, and appropriate labs before recommending treatment.

3

Build a follow-up plan

Treatment is selected together, then reassessed based on symptoms, tolerability, safety, and any monitoring that applies to your plan.

Personalized care

Midlife changes are common. Feeling dismissed should not be.

Perimenopause commonly begins in the 40s, and menopause occurs around age 52 on average in the United States. There is no single plan that fits every woman, so BayouSide builds care around symptoms, life stage, health history, preferences, and risk profile.

Hormone therapy is not appropriate for everyone. A personal medical evaluation is required before any prescription or procedure.

Perimenopause and menopause

Evaluation of hot flashes, night sweats, sleep disruption, cycle changes, mood symptoms, vaginal or sexual health concerns, and related changes.

Energy, mood and sleep

Symptoms are reviewed broadly because thyroid conditions, anemia, sleep problems, medications, and other causes can overlap with hormone changes.

Cycles and reproductive stages

Irregular, painful, heavy, or absent periods and other hormone-related changes can be discussed from adolescence onward. Testing and treatment are selected from the full clinical picture rather than age or one lab result alone.

Treatment and pellet options

When treatment is appropriate, the provider explains hormonal and non-hormonal choices, including EvexiPEL hormone pellet therapy for eligible patients, along with expected benefits, limitations, risks, and monitoring needs.

Ongoing adjustment

Follow-up focuses on how you are feeling, whether the plan remains safe, and whether the dose, delivery method, or overall strategy should change.
